Making a Mandala - Step by Step 3

Yeahhhh!!! We arrived to the end.

So I finish the squares and now I'll be doing circles with the same colors I've been weaving the Mandala with a total of 7 circles of four times each.

With green color we can weave in the same way we did in the center, the start figure, by passing through the yard in each end, but always leaving 2 ends empty of yarn. As you’ll see, the ends will get weaved and in the back end you’ll get a beautiful and creative web/pattern.

I continue weaving the star until all ends get the yarn pass through. Later with the same I did a circle of 3 turns.

We covered the 8 ends and it can be included a hanging that can be done with any of the yarns used in the Mandala. Some people use a ring, but that depends on our desired. For both the hanging and the covered ends, I use a little bit of glue to ensure that no yarn will get out.

For more specifics on the completion of a Mandala, you can check on the entry “How to decorate the Mandalas – First Part”.

Coming soon I’ll be including some new forms to decorate. Cheers

How to decorate the Mandalas - Third Part

Hello Followers!

We continue with the finishing touches to make fancy our Mandalas. Below you can find a picture of how we can embellish our tassels with different things such as,

- Beads

- Bronze Beads of medium size

- Rattles or shakers, etc. etc.

Especially, anything you’ll like and can find, and in particular should have holes at both ends.

The tassels are made with a very fine yarn, which is the one I used to create the Mandala.

Feel free to ask for any doubts. I’ll be more than happy to help you. Simply leave a comment and I’ll answer as soon as possible.
